Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing a bibliography of the crime writer Dame Agatha Christie. According to a letter from her American literary agent, Harold Ober Associates, the first two installments of a Russian translation of her novel The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by I. Girov and T. Ozerskaya appeared in Proster - a journal issued in Tashkent - in issues no. 1 and 2 for 1970.
In the event your archive holds copies of Proster journal for 1970, I would be exceedingly grateful if you could confirm the start and end dates of the serialization of The Murder of Roger Ackroyd and also state the name of the serial in Russian and what it translate into in English.
Any help you are able to give will be much appreciated, and I will be only too delighted to credit your name and library in the credits of my book when it is published later this year.

Hello!
We would be very glad to help you. So we would correct your information. Really this journal was issued in Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan), not in Tashkent. It names "Prostor" (in russian "Простор"). The title of this novel in russian is "Убийство Роджера Экройда". It was published in 1970 in № 1, pp. 108-127; № 2, pp. 108-127, № 3, pp. 107-127.
